Epilogi - Cultural Movement of Limassol

The Mixed Choir of the “EPILOGI” Cultural Movement was founded in March 2000, and today comprises of 45 persons. The Choir operated under the direction of Ms. Eleni Kyprianou at first (2000-2003), followed by Mr. Nenad Bogdanovic (2003-2009), while in April 2009 the supervision of the choir was taken over by the Artistic Director of the “EPILOGI” Cultural Movement, Mrs. Angelina Nicolaidou-Spanou. The aim of the choir is to assist people of all ages to participate in the artistic creation and appreciation, regardless of their (typical) educational background, and thus to facilitate access of all citizens to art and cultural products. So far the Choir has participated in a series of cultural events and choral festivals in Cyprus and has been presented at several festivals inItaly,Greece andFrance.

Besides its several visits to Greece (Drama 2001, Rhodes 2004, Preveza 2005, Alexandria Imathias 2007), in 2008 the Choir participated at the International Choral Festival of the City of Soave, Italy, and had the opportunity to give concerts in various churches of the area. In March 2009 the “EPILOGI” Mixed choir was invited toClaye-Suilly,France, to take part in the International Festival of Music. During the past years the Choir had the opportunity to perform alongside a number of renowned choirs, such as the mixed choir of Preveza “Armonia”, the Female Vocal Ensemble of Patra, the “Viadana” Chamber Choir of Dunaujvaros,Hungary, the Teachers’ Choir of Komlo,Hungaryand the choir “Aris” from Limassol. The Choir’s repertoire includes works of Greek composers, arrangements of traditional songs, as well as works from all periods of the international choral literature, including contemporary.
