International activities
In August 2010, the Cultural Movement EPILOGI of Limassol, Jeunesses Musicales International and the Arab Academy of Music (League of Arab States) for the establishment of a Euro-Arab Youth Music Centre in Limassol, Cyprus. The first of its kind, the new Euro-Arab Youth Music Centre aims to enable an increased number of youth of the European and Arab countries to participate and create educational and social music programs. With the co-funding of European Union, Cultural Movement EPILOGI of Limassol, Jeunesses Musicales International, the Arab Academy of Music (League of Arab States), the National Music Conservatory of Amman (King Hussein Foundation), and the Sevda Cenap And Foundation, decided to organize “Choral Crossroads 2011”. This Euro-Mediterranean Youth Choral Fair is a part of a wider “Euro-Mediterranean Youth Music Dialogues” (2011-2012) project that aims to stimulate the dialogue and mutual understanding among cultural workers and artists of two sides of Mediterranean by bringing them together, improving perceptions between them, and reducing the existing gaps and prejudices. The main activities, apart of “Choral Crossroads 2011” are Euro-Arab Youth Music Forum, held in Amman in April 2011 and Euro-Mediterranean Youth Music Expo, to be held in Limassol in October 2012, within the Cyprus Presidency of European Union.
The World Youth Choir (WYC) is original in its concept, bringing together talented young singers aged 17 - 26 from all over the world, to its summer or winter sessions organized in different world countries, each year. Cyprus through Cultural Movement EPILOGI participated for the first time this year by the 17-year-old Anastasia Glyky, voice student of the Music Lyceum in Limassol. In January 2012, the Epilogi will organize the official national audition for the tour of World Youth Choir in Cyprus, Greece and Turkey for this year, within the Cyprus Presidency of the European Union.
Ad hoc international activities
In January 2010 EPILOGI organized a project responding to the on-going Cyprus re-unification by providing Cypriot, Greek and Turkish cultural sector and young musicians with peace, intercultural and reconciliation, cultural mobility and international programs. The program called Cyprusin Action – Youth Music Encounters, was supported by European Cultural Foundation. Additionally, Cultural Movement EPILOGI, with the Jeunesses Musicales International and Jeunesses Musicales Cyprus on 15 and 21 September 2010 organized a seminar entitled: "Musical Bridges: Creating Intercultural Cities through Music and Youth Activities", where 40 young cultural organizers fromGreece,Bosnia and Herzegovina, FYROM,Turkey and both Cypriot communities participated in.
